Despite pubs being closed Beer Day Britain still went ahead this year with many people raising a glass of their favourite ale at 7pm on 16th June. This year, social media played a big part, allowing people to celebrate and spread their love of beer by posting pictures of themselves enjoying a beer, or two at home and in their gardens. There was also a special event held in the Red (On)Lion. We can only hope that next year we are able to celebrate the event in one of our many fantastic local pubs and make it a day to remember.
