The Craft Room on Smithdown room has undergone a name change to Black Cat. The pub has also been upgraded in other areas too, and now serving Pieminster Pies. The pub is still under the same Waterloo Rugby Club management. Reopening on the 17th May www.blackcatbar.co.uk

The Sanctuary Tap and Rox could merge. Liverpool Echo have reported that both city centre bars could be merged under new plans. 'Both Rox and the Sanctuary Tap are small and narrow bars and the applicants hope to increase capacity by remodelling parts of the interior of the premises to allow them to function together.' The Vernon, Caledonia and Waterloo Rugby Club are currently staying closed until next stage of lockdown easing.

Lark Lane pub offering has increased with three new venues. The Ink in the Well selling cask ales from local brewers www.inkinthewelllarklane.com/ and The Old School House who says '“We take our beer as seriously as our food, and in the cellar we have a range of rotating cask ales and around a further dozen European craft ales on draught” www.theoldschoolhouse1889.com/  Along with the Book Binder www.bookbinderlarklane.com/ which opened January 2020.
