Inquiry twitter1 webThe All Party Parliamentary Pub Group (Pubs APPG) is launching a new inquiry into the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on pubs and people.

A cross-party group of MPs wants to know what the Government should be doing to promote the future of pubs as the heart of communities, and what support the trade will need to thrive through reopening and beyond.

THE QUEENS ARMS, HUYTON, Planning Application 21/00062/FUL

I just wanted to draw your attention to a planning application for change of use, that has been registered with Knowsley Planning department. The planning application relates to a public house. with proposals to convert the existing first floor licensee accommodation into residential flats, which will have a detrimental effect on the viability of the pub. In addition the existing ground floor pub area is to be re-vamped into a bar/bistro.

The Queens Arms is located within a Conservation Area and is, in fact listed by CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) as a Pub with an Historic Pub Interior.
